Youth Dance Guidelines & Standards
Virtue loveth virtue; light cleaveth unto light.
Doctrine & Covenants 88:40
If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report, or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.
13th Article of Faith
Dancing can be fun and can provide an opportunity to meet new people. However, it can potentially be misused. Attend only
those dances where dress, grooming, lighting, lyrics, music, and entertainment contribute to a wholesome atmosphere where
the Spirit may be present. For the Strength of Youth
Please consider how you can contribute to and create this type of atmosphere.
All are welcome if they observe dress, conduct, and dance standards. Youth and guests must be turning at least 14 years of age during the calendar year.
It is your responsibility to inform guests of these standards and to encourage others in their compliance. Noncompliance with dress, conduct, and dance standards may result in counsel with an adult leader and may be grounds for youth to be sent home.
